This year, we decided to celebrate the day in a unique and playful way—by organizing a “Blind Spice Competition” that put our chefs’ sensory skills to the test. The event was not only a fun team-building experience but also an exciting way to appreciate the incredible abilities our culinary team brings to the table every day. The Blind Spice Challenge Begins
The Blind Spice Challenge was designed to test our chefs’ sense of smell and taste. After all, a chef’s ability to distinguish flavours and aromas is crucial in creating the perfect dish. Five brave volunteers were blindfolded and seated at different stations, each with a set of 10 spices in front of them. With the blindfolds on, they had to rely solely on their senses to identify the spices.
Each contestant had a limited time to sniff and taste each spice and guess what it was. The rules were simple: guess as many spices correctly as possible before the timer ran out. The stakes were high, as the winner would earn some serious bragging rights and the admiration of the entire team.
Spectators gathered around, cheering on the contestants and adding to the lively atmosphere.
