Summer at St George’s Bay

Corinthia Beach Resort

Here’s a Date for your Calendar

This year’s Summer at St George’s Bay is looking fantastic

The weather’s warming up, days are getting longer and the summer vibe is making its presence felt as our event calendars start to fill up. Speaking of which, you might want to pencil in Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th May and join our most anticipated event of the year; Summer at St George’s Bay.

This year the Corinthia Hotel, St George’s Bay, and the Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort have joined forces and will be offering four days of entertainment, dining options, activities for all the family – and all for a good cause. This year 10% of all proceeds made during this event will be donated to the Inspire Foundation, a local institution that helps over 1,000 individuals with various disabilities.

Now in its third year, this May Fest has grown from strength to strength and judging by this year’s programme, it’s set to be bigger and better – here are my personal Favourite Five.

  1. Cooking Classes

This year’s classes include learning the tricks of the trade when it comes to Italian cuisine, experiencing the thrill of BBQ grilling perfection, or take a shot at creating your very own dessert; all under the expert guidance of our chefs and patissiers.

  1. You had me at Wine

This year’s Wine Fair at the Vinotheque feels just right. Take a tour of the three prominent wine regions of France, Sicily and Australia. Edoard Leach, long time envoy of J. Moreau & Fils, will also be present sharing his expertise of Pays d’Oc wines. Wear something that makes you feel good, and head out for an evening with a difference.

  1. It’s for a Good Cause

Form a team of six friends or colleagues and join Summer at St George’s Bay’s Activity Day at the Corinthia Lido, catch up over cocktails at Henry J. Bean’s while snapping a couple of selfies with the Hog Chapter’s sparkling motorcycles, or enrol the kids in an action-filled morning – 10% of the total sales will be donated to Inspire and entrance to the Lido is free all weekend. (Kids activities on Sunday at a €5 donation)

  1. Colour Me Ferrari

If cars are your thing, you’re in for a treat. Head down to the Marina Hotel on Sunday and take in the beauty of one of the world’s most desirable cars. Enjoy lunch at the Bayview, with the sea on one side; and the cars on the other. Kick things up a notch and help Inspire by booking a passenger ride in the car of your dreams.

  1. Catch Up and Hang Out

Put on your dancing shoes and head out to the Duke’s Club on Friday 27th for the Smirnoff Experience party. Catch up with old friends, make new ones, enjoy a live band, and dance the night away at one of Malta’s most intimately exclusive parties.

Of course, there’s loads more happening – feel free to take a look at our programme to get the low down of what’s going on, where, and when.

This year, we decided to celebrate the day in a unique and playful way—by organizing a “Blind Spice Competition” that put our chefs’ sensory skills to the test. The event was not only a fun team-building experience but also an exciting way to appreciate the incredible abilities our culinary team brings to the table every day. Here’s a glimpse into how the challenge unfolded, the enthusiastic participants, and the lively spirit of the day.
