With around 30 stalls set up, this market only sells Maltese produce, giving you a true taste of the island. But it’s not just fruit and vegetables on offer. You can also find a range of other locally produced goods, including bigilla, gbejniet, honey, bread, fish, and meat products.

Birkirkara Market
If you’re looking for a traditional market experience, Birkirkara Market is not to be missed. Held on Wednesday and Friday mornings in Tumas Fenech Street, close to the impressive St Helen’s Basilica, this open-air market offers a wide range of fresh produce, including locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as fresh fish and seafood.

The Veg Box (Manikata)
